Zêzere

The river Zêzere is an entirely Portuguese river. It is born in the Serra da Estrela, about 1900 m high, next to the Cântaro Magro. Still in the Estrela mountain range, it passes by Manteigas and near the city of Covilhã, afterwards to the southwest, converging with the river Tagus to the west of Constância, after a course of about 200 km.

The river Zêzere is little known, but this does not mean that it does not have a very own essence. Its winding route gives it an unique feature, surrounded by mountains, forest, small villages and very picturesque villages. In Zêzere, Man is invited by Nature to be part of it, so the experience will become unique, incomparable and of immense depth.
