1º day – “Welcome day”

  • Its the arrival day, we advised who arrives at Porto with enough time to rest from travelling by plane or car. If travelling by plane we will receive you at the airport (OPORTO) by one of our guides and they will take you to your hotel /accommodation. We will have time to visit the emblematic places of the city of Porto, all by a panoramic bus.
  • At night you will have a free dinner in a restaurant with a magnificent view to the “presépio” which is the ribeira do Porto World heritage , classified by UNESCO .
  • You will also be given information about the expedition.

2º day– “The Expedition begins!”

  • From the beautiful city of Porto we leave early towards
  • From the beautiful city of Porto we leave early towards Amarante . This trip will take around 45min. We will have the opportunity to visit the historic center, relax a bit and then go back to our boats. Here all technical and safety instructions will be given .
  • We will sail around 12.2km/7.62m until Marco de Canaveses. In the romanic church of Tamega will be ou destion to rest and have lunch. After a nice picinic lunch we will travel about 14km observing the landscape , with green and vallyes of Torrao.
  • Then we will go to Douro through Tamego River where we will have dinner and sleep in a little village in Douro.
  • We will sail about 12.2 km / 7.62 miles, until Marco de Canaveses. The Romanic Church on Tâmega will be our resting place for lunch. After lunch and a little rest, we will continue along 14k, through a landscape and green valley to the Torrão dam. Here, it empties the Tâmega, we arrive at the Douro …. We will have dinner and sleep in a village on the slope of the Douro.
  • Amarante . This trip will take around 45min. We will have the opportunity to viset the historic centre, relax a bit and then go back to our boats. Here all technical ans saftey instructions will be given .

3º day – “The last dam on river Douro”

(Entre-os-rios – Crestuma 25,97km / 16,14 miles)

  • After a good night rest we will travel by car to Entre os Rios, where our boats stayed.
  • Today we will sail in the calm waters of Douro, where you will feel a calming sensation through this wonderful river. Our destination is the Crestuma dam that is the last dam until we arrive at Porto .
  • We will have dinner at Porto with a magnificent view to the Douro River.

4º day – “The last day,, paddling to Oporto”

(Crestuma – Oporto 15km / 9,38 miles)

  • We will have the opportunity to pass by Crestuma, an ever interesting experience to observe and experience the whole procedure of passage to a portion of lower water.
  • The landscape of Crestuma if very green in the first 9km with little villages in the margins of the river , then the landscape begins to be more urban when where getting to porto . Ribeira the highest point and the surrounding areas, considered world heritage classified by UNESCO.
